Police estimate significant influx of tourists to visit HKU during National Day ‘Golden Week'
It is estimated that a significant number of tourists will visit the University of Hong Kong (HKU) during the National Day "Golden Week", according to the police. With a large number of tourists getting on and off in the narrow sidewalks, it is easy for accidents to occur. Illegal parking may also pose a danger to other road users.
The Western Police Station posted a short video on the social media platform Xiaohongshu, indicating that they will monitor on-site traffic and implement traffic control and enforcement actions if it is necessary.
They also warmly welcome tourists to visit Hong Kong and remind them to choose public means of transportation such as minibuses, buses, or MTR if they want to visit HKU.
