Shanghai Disney announced that it will implement a real-name ticketing system by the end of this year on Tuesday (Sept. 24). Once the new policy is in effect, visitors will need to use their ID cards to purchase tickets for Shanghai Disneyland.
Each ID card will be limited to purchasing one ticket per visit date, ensuring that the entire process from ticket purchase to park entry adheres to the "one person, one ID, one ticket" principle.
The new policy also applies to annual pass holders. Each visitor must use a valid official ID to purchase an individual annual pass, and each ID card can only be used to purchase one annual pass.
Shanghai Disney stated that this new policy leverages technology to enhance the visitor experience and actively supports government efforts to combat illegal commercial activities. It is expected to be effective in curbing illegal practices like ticket hoarding, scalping, and speculative reselling.
Since its opening, Shanghai Disney Resort has allowed visitors to purchase tickets for themselves and up to four accompanying guests in a single order. As the implementation date of the new policy approaches, Shanghai Disney will provide visitors with the official effective date and a detailed guide on how to purchase tickets under the new system.
