Poetry gathering | Enjoy Chinese ancient poetry: Prelude to Water Melody

Poetry is the bright pearl of China, carrying a deep historical and cultural heritage and conveying rich emotions with its unique charm. In this fast-paced modern life, people with similar interests and emotions can make friends through poems.

Tuesday (Sept. 17) is the Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional Chinese festival for family reunions. Do you plan to reunite with your family, eat mooncakes, and enjoy the bright moon that day?

This poem expresses the poet's infinite nostalgia for his brother Ziyou (Su Che) at the Mid-Autumn Festival. The poet uses figurative depictions to create an atmosphere of the moon in the sky, beautiful people, and a lonely and distant realm.

Due to the disappointment of his political situation and the parting of his brother Ziyou, the poet is depressed and melancholy about the moon in the mid-autumn festival. However, he is not trapped in a pessimistic mood but shows his love and wish for human life.

The ancient people did not see today's moon, but the moon used to shine on the ancient people. No matter how many vicissitudes of life there are in between, reunion is the unchanging theme of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
