Paris's Notre-Dame Cathedral is all set to reopen to the public on December 8 of this year, according to the report by RCF, a French radio station.
The French government has invested nearly 700 million euros to restore this historic building.
The restoration work is progressing smoothly, with the cathedral's silhouette now visible once again. The next phase of the project will involve the reconstruction of the large stone crypt beneath the cathedral, which is expected to be completed by November.
After the reopening, the cathedral is expected to welcome 15 million visitors annually, a significant increase from the 10 million visitors it received prior to the fire.
To accommodate the anticipated influx of tourists, the cathedral's management is preparing an online reservation system, allowing tourists to book tickets in advance of their visit.
