A spokesperson for the United States Department of the Treasury (USDT) stated that Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen tested positive for COVID-19 after experiencing symptoms.
The spokesperson indicated that Yellen continues to fulfill her responsibilities while working from home until she is able to return to the office.
The 78-year-old Yellen returned to Washington on Saturaday from a three-day trip to North Carolina and Texas.
