Mid-Autumn Festival highlight: Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance to be held from Sept. 16 to 18
The Mid-Autumn Festival will feature the traditional Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance, a practice dating back to the 19th century, when residents used fire dragons filled with joss sticks to ward off epidemics, and has now become a national intangible cultural heritage.
The 67-meter dragon, adorned with 12,000 incense sticks, will be led by 300 athletes as they make their way through the streets and alleys.
The event will be held from September 16. to 18.
