A wild boar on the road resulted in two car accidents in Hong Kong last night.

At approximately 8:05 pm, a taxi was traveling along the Hong Kong Aberdeen Promenade towards Pok Fu Lam when the 48-year-old male driver spotted a wild boar in the middle of the road near Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter. He quickly applied the brakes to avoid a collision. However, another taxi following closely behind could not stop in time and crashed into the rear of Wong's vehicle.

Amid the chaos, the wild boar managed to escape the scene.

Both taxi drivers involved in the accident suffered injuries. The 48-year-old driver, Wong, and the 53-year-old driver, surnamed Chan, sustained injuries to their necks, heads, and legs. They were both transported to Queen Mary Hospital for medical treatment.

Just three minutes later, at around 8:08 PM, the same wild boar that had previously caused the first accident was struck by another taxi approximately 150 meters away from the initial incident, in front of Ocean Court. The wild boar suffered severe injuries and died at the scene.

The 59-year-old taxi driver called the police for assistance, and the body of the wild boar was subsequently removed by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department.
