Olympics | National Team's delegation scheduled to come to HK on Aug. 29

The government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) announced today (Aug. 18) that a delegation of Mainland athletes who attended the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will visit Hong Kong from Aug. 29 to 31.

Upon arrival, the delegation will embark on a three-day visit to Hong Kong, including attending a welcome reception and dinner hosted by the HKSAR Government, as well as a visit to the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) for exchanges with Hong Kong athletes.

During the stay, the Olympians will attend the “Gala Show by Mainland Olympians” to be held at Queen Elizabeth Stadium in the evening of 30 August. They will also take part in the “Sports Demonstrations by Mainland Olympians” in two groups on the morning of 31 August, with one showcasing sporting skills in badminton, gymnastics and table tennis at Queen Elizabeth Stadium, and the other doing diving and swimming performances at Victoria Park Swimming Pool.

Chief Executive John Lee expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Central Government for arranging another visit by the delegation of Mainland athletes to Hong Kong, which fully demonstrates its care and concern for the city.

Lee added that the visits of national team athletes to Hong Kong in the past have always been a great success and brought a festive atmosphere to the community.

"The SAR Government is eagerly looking forward to the visit of the delegation to share with the people of Hong Kong their journey of progress and successful experience and to promote the spirit of Chinese sports."
