Watch This | 93-year-old man kills pigeon with walking stick, arrested in Wah Kwai Estate, Aberdeen

A video of an old man beating a pigeon with a walking stick spread on social media last Monday (Aug. 5), and it was later reported that the pigeon was confirmed dead on the spot. Police received a report on the same day that a man was suspected of having brutalized a pigeon near Wah Kwai Estate in Aberdeen.

After an in-depth investigation, officers arrested a 93-year-old man surnamed Ng at a flat in Wah Kwai Estate on suspicion of cruelty to animals today (Aug. 14). He has been released on bail pending investigation and is required to report to the Police in early September.

The police reiterated that cruelty to animals is a serious offense and is punishable by a maximum of 3 years imprisonment upon conviction under section 3 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ordinance, Cap. 169.
