Macao 2024 election of members of Chief Executive Election Committee held today

Macao 2024 election of members of the Chief Executive Election Committee is held today (Aug. 11). 

Seven polling stations are distributed among three polling venues: Macao Polytechnic University Multi-Sport Pavilion; Macao Forum; and the Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional. The venues have been prepared, and ballot papers have been printed. All polling stations run from 9 am to 6 pm.

The Macao Chief Executive Election Committee is made up of 400 members. According to information released earlier by the Macao Electoral Affairs Commission, there are 348 candidates running for 344 seats in this year's election.

In addition, the incumbent Chief Executive of Macao, Ho Iat Seng, has not yet announced whether he will run for a second term of office.
