Youth hostel project Sky One Hostel provides 672 hostel places
Hotel COZI Wetland at 8 Tin Sau Road, Tin Shui Wai has recently been converted into a youth hostel, Sky One Hostel. The project has a total of 336 rooms providing 672 hostel places at an average monthly rent of HK$3,500 per month, and is open to Hong Kong permanent residents aged between 18 and 31 with a monthly salary not exceeding HK$28,000 (click to apply).
The program will provide various training and cultural exchange activities for the residents, helping young people broaden their horizons and enhance their understanding of the world.
The Youth Hostel is a double-occupancy hostel, which can be divided into one-person and two-person applications. For single applicants, the Foundation will assist in matching roommates. The income ceiling is HK$28,000 for single applicants and HK$56,000 for two-person applicants. After submitting their applications, applicants will be assessed by a selection committee based on factors such as family status, living environment and social participation. Applicants will be invited to attend interviews from late August to early September, and will meet with their roommates in advance. They will then sign a one-year fix term tenancy plus a one-year break clause, and will be able to move in as early as October 1st. A fitness room and multi-purpose space will be available in the building.
Young people staying at Sky One Hostel are required to participate in at least 200 hours of community or voluntary services each year.
The project is now open for application and 100 applications have been received so far. Tin Shui Wai Residents Service Association Foundation aims to provide children and young people with program services that are conducive to their development, and will not rule out cooperation with other hotels in the future.
