
According to the Shenzhen Observatory, today (Aug. 8) is the 6th day that the high-temperature warning signal has been in effect in Shenzhen. Shenzhen's recent weather is mainly hot and warm, with temperatures in most areas ranging from 31-35 degrees Celsius, accompanied by a few thunderstorms from time to time. People traveling to Guangdong need to be cautious of sunstroke.
In response to the recent high temperatures, the weather department of Guangdong Province released a heatstroke map of Guangdong on the 6th. The map shows that Shenzhen, Huizhou and other places are easy to heatstroke area, while Guangzhou, Dongguan and Zhuhai are very easy to heatstroke area.
According to the data of Shenzhen Emergency Medical Service Centre, from August 1 to August 6, Shenzhen 120 ambulances made 88 trips for heatstroke patients. Among them, on August 2, a 62-year-old man in Pingshan District, after returning home from work at 3 p.m., suffered from sunstroke and lost consciousness, and died after rescue efforts were ineffective. On the following day ( August 3), a 56-year-old man in Bao'an District also died of sunstroke when he was at work at 10 am and was not effectively resuscitated.
The Shenzhen Emergency Medical Service Centre reminds the public to be on the alert for sunstroke in Shenzhen as the city continues to experience high temperatures, and to be especially cautious of heat stroke.
