Chinese Chen Meng yesterday (Aug. 3) won the women's singles gold medal at the Paris Olympics with a 4-2 victory over Sun Yingsha, making her the third table tennis player to defend the women's singles title at the Olympics after Deng Yaping and Zhang Yining, and the oldest table tennis player in the history of China's table tennis national team to win a women's singles gold medal.
The Chinese actor Mark Huang Xiaoming, the cousin of Chen Meng, also expressed his congratulations on Chinese social media Weibo.
On his blog, Huang said, "Congratulations Meng! You did it! You've carried all the pressure and again proved yourself with your strength!"
On his cousin's win, Huang said, "More people congratulated me on my cousin's win than when I won the best actor, lol."
