First batch of Mainland Travel Permits for non-Chinese permanent residents of HK and Macao issued today
The first batch of non-Chinese nationals among Hong Kong and Macao permanent residents to apply for Mainland Travel Permits were issued with their permits today (July 31).
The National Immigration Administration introduced the new measure on July 10, and it is understood that more than 1,600 people have made appointments to apply for permits at the China Travel Service in Macao.
According to the regulations, permit holders can travel to and from the Mainland several times within the five-year validity period of the permit, with each stay not exceeding 90 days. After undergoing fingerprint collection and other formalities at the border control points, the permit holders are exempted from filling in the foreigner entry card and can go through the express channel to cross the border.
