Apple unveils iOS 18.1 beta including Apple Intelligence

Apple today (July 30) launched the iOS 18.1 developer beta, which includes built-in Apple Intelligence and features such as call recording and voice transcription.

Only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max support Apple Intelligence and can receive this update now. Registered developers who have paid US$99 need to join a waiting list to be granted access after installation.

This AI upgrade includes improvements to Siri, writing tools, mail, photos, and the new call recording and voice transcription features, where voice transcription can convert users' call content into text records.
