The Olympic flag was raised upside down during the grand opening ceremony in Paris on July 26 local time.
It was an embarrassing moment as one of the long-standing Olympic traditions went wrong this time.
The images of the Olympic flag appeared to show that the five-coloured rings of the iconic emblem were in the wrong position and the flag was also hoisted incorrectly.
