Seoul Mayor O Sehun met with Tian Xiangli, Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Sichuan Province and Party Secretary, at Seoul City Hall on July 15, according to reports from multiple South Korean media outlets, including the Korea JoongAng Daily and Korea Edu Press.
The two sides discussed issues related to urban exchange and cooperation. This meeting aimed to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the friendly cooperative relationship between Seoul and Sichuan.
O Sehun expressed his belief that the recent return of the giant panda Fubao to China will play a wise diplomatic role in the interactions between the two countries. He also conveyed Seoul's desire to rent a giant panda from China to Tian Xiangli.
