The 2024 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) results will be released tomorrow (July 17).
The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) held a press conference this afternoon (July 16) to announce the results.
The HKEAA revealed that this year, there are 10 top scorers, comprising eight males and two females.
These students achieved 5** in six subjects and met the "Attained" standard in the newly introduced Citizenship and Social Development subject.
Among them, eight students (seven males and one female) also attained 5** in the extended part of Mathematics (either M1 or M2), earning them the title of "Super Top Scorers."
HKEAA Secretary General Wei Xiang-dong stated that the successful completion of this year's DSE was made possible through the support and cooperation of all participating schools, examination personnel, the Education Bureau, and relevant government departments. He expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the examination process.
Wei also encouraged the candidates, emphasizing that while DSE results are essential, students should not focus solely on their scores.
The DSE is widely recognized locally and internationally, offering diverse opportunities for further education and career development. Candidates of varying abilities can choose their paths based on their results, interests, and aspirations.
Regarding the arrangements to release results on July 17, school candidates should collect their result notices according to their respective schools' arrangements.
Evening school candidates can check their results online starting from 7:00 a.m. Private candidates can also check their results online from 7:00 a.m. on July 17.
In addition to the result notices, the HKEAA will continue distributing results via SMS this year.
From 9:00 a.m. on July 17, candidates who have provided valid SMS phone numbers will receive their DSE results via text message.
