In a move to enhance connectivity between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, the Huanggang Port has introduced a late-night shuttle bus service, as announced through the port's WeChat public account.
The new bus service operates between 11 PM and 3 AM, with a bus departing every 30 minutes. The fare is just 3 Chinese yuan (approximately $0.45 USD) for the 30-minute journey.
The shuttle bus route connects the Huanggang Port inspection building to various stops, including Fumin New Village, Shuiwei Street Area, and Gaoxun Building. Passengers can board or alight the bus at any of these designated stops.
Notably, the Shuiwei Street Area is designated as a "hail-and-ride" stop, where passengers can signal the driver to board or alight the bus at any point along the route without the need to reach a specific station. If no passengers request to board or alight at this stop, the bus will pass through without stopping.
This new late-night shuttle bus service is expected to provide a convenient and affordable transportation option for travelers moving between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, particularly during the late-night hours when other public transportation may be limited.
The introduction of this service underscores the ongoing efforts by the Huanggang Port authorities to enhance the travel experience and connectivity for passengers navigating the border between these two major cities in the Greater Bay Area.
