The organizer of the Doraemon Exhibition said that given the forecast by the Hong Kong Observatory that the wind speed will reach a strong breeze today (July 15) and there will be violent thunderstorms, the 12-meter inflatable Doraemon sculpture in the outdoor exhibition area will be temporarily deflated, and will be inflated again and put on display when the weather and the environment permit.
Other exhibits, including the G/F and 6/F exhibition areas, will remain open as usual.
The organizer said it would closely monitor the weather and announce the latest arrangements in case of inclement weather.
According to the Hong Kong Observatory, Hong Kong will have generally cloudy skies with a few showers today, with heavier rain and thunderstorms in some areas at the beginning of the day. There will be brief periods of sunshine and heat in the afternoon, with a maximum temperature of about 33 degrees. Moderate to brisk east to southeasterly winds, with occasional strong winds in the highlands. Moderate showers over the next two to three days, with localized thunderstorms.
