Some DAB members visited the new Huanggang Port on Tuesday (July 9) to understand the progress of the new building's reconstruction, said Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress (DAB) Chairman, Lee Wai-king.

She mentioned they learned about the upcoming immigration arrangement of a joint boundary control system at Huanggang Port. Secretary for Security Chris Tang also said that discussions with relevant Mainland departments are underway to enhance the use of this model. The DAB looks forward to more ports adopting the joint boundary control system.

Starry Lee also noted that for the initiative, which allows eligible vehicles holding Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao dual licenses to cross at ports other than their designated ones, there has been positive feedback from central ministries, and active research is being conducted.
