Meizhou-Longchuan high-speed rail expected to open in September
The Meizhou-Longchuan high-speed rail has officially launched the investigation test and commissioning of the whole line. According to the project's initial schedule, it is expected to be ready for opening by the end of September. By then, it will take only 1.5 hours to travel from Shenzhen and Hong Kong to Meizhou.
Meilong high-speed railway line length of 93.982 kilometers, the design speed of 350 km/h, via Meizhou, Heyuan, a total of four stations, Meizhou West Station and Longchuan West Station for the existing station, Xingning South Station, and Wuhua Station for the new station.
After opening in September, the Meizhou-Longchuan high-speed railway will connect with the Ganzhou-Shenzhen and Meizhou-Shantou high-speed railway. Meizhou to Shenzhen, Guangzhou and other cities in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area traveling time will be reduced from the current 3 to 6 hours to 1.5 hours, saving time by more than 50%.
