The NAScenT transitional housing project near Kam Sheung Road has recently welcomed new residents.
Developed on land provided by Henderson Land Development Group and operated by the New Territories Association of Societies (Community Services) Foundation, the project offers over 1,000 units.
On July 4, Augustine Wong, executive director of Henderson Land Development Company Limited, visited the NAScenT along with other officials.
Many residents reported significant improvements in their quality of life since moving into the transitional housing.
The NAScenT is conveniently located just minutes from Kam Sheung Road station and near the Kam Sheung Road public transport interchange, providing easy access to transportation. The project also includes recreational, sports, and dining facilities to meet residents' needs.
Wong highlighted that the successful and timely completion of the NAScenT demonstrates the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government's strong commitment to addressing the territory's land and housing issues.
He acknowledged the government's financial support for construction and coordination of departmental approvals as crucial to the project's success.
Wong noted that after years of government effort, transitional housing development has entered a fruitful period, improving residents' living standards.
The group plans to continue working with various sectors of society to address grassroots housing problems through multiple approaches.
Since 2017, Henderson Land Development has actively supported the government's transitional housing initiatives, becoming the first property developer to respond to the HKSAR government's call to accelerate and increase the construction of transitional housing. The company's four projects provide a total of over 4,300 units.
