The Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) will hold a free exhibition to celebrate the 60th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between China and France. The Legislative Council member Holden Chow held a press conference today (July 2) introducing details.
Chow explained that the exhibition aims to showcase the historical exchanges between China and France, which date back to the Qing Dynasty. The exhibition will feature over 80 exhibits, including ancient maps and scrolls of Beijing, historical photographs of China, ancient maps of Paris, historical pictures of France, Olympic clippings, and classical music boxes from four centuries. These exhibits will provide a retrospective view of the appearances of Beijing and Paris since the Ming Dynasty.
The exhibition will also present a chronological timeline of significant events in the history of China-France diplomatic relations. The DAB hopes that this exhibition will give visitors a deeper understanding of China-France relations and that Hong Kong, as an international metropolis, can showcase the historical and cultural exchanges between China and France, serving as a window to connect with the global community.
The exhibition is scheduled to run from July 6 to Aug.4 and is free to visit. It will be held on the 46th floor of Central Plaza, 18 Harbor Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
