The National Immigration Administration announced on July 1 that Mainland Travel Permits for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (non-Chinese Citizens) will be issued to non-Chinese permanent residents of HK and Macao from July 10, 2024.
When Chief Executive John Lee met with reporters before attending the Executive Council meeting today (July 2), he said the measures are prevalent and online reservations are almost full.
Lee pointed out that this policy is innovative and aims to care for non-Chinese permanent residents of HK. HK has many non-Chinese permanent residents who have contributed to HK over the years and can also contribute to the construction of the Greater Bay Area and the country's overall development, said Lee.
He emphasized that the government will continue to consult with China Travel Service and listen to opinions and feedback to ensure smooth reservations.
