The Security Bureau announced today (June 24) that the quota for Individual Closed Area Permit applications will be increased to a maximum of 2,300 in July in response to the rising demand for the Sha Tau Kok individual visit.
It is worth noting that individual travelers must use public transport to enter Sha Tau Kok and are not allowed to drive in. Starting from May 2 this year, there will be daily services to Sha Tau Kok from Lai Chi Wo, Crooked Island and Ap Chau respectively. Public can use the Police's online platform to apply for a Closed Area Permit.
