The inaugural "International Bio-computing Innovation Summit" will be held in Hong Kong tomorrow (June 24), with international experts, scholars, and industry representatives from fields such as artificial intelligence and life sciences, who will explore the development opportunities.
In his blog, Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan stated that the summit's organization is driven by the investment strategy of the Hong Kong Investment Management Limited (HKIM).
Tomorrow, HKIM will sign a strategic cooperation agreement with BioMap, a leading artificial intelligence company in life sciences, at the summit.
BioMap will announce the establishment of its first global bio-computing innovation center in Hong Kong. The team will accelerate research and commercialization in pharmaceuticals and healthcare, green technology, and industrial innovation while providing more high-quality employment and internship opportunities.
Chan expressed that the applications of bio-computing are wide-ranging. In addition to accelerating new drug development to improve human health, it can expedite green technology innovation and contribute to global sustainability.
He said that whether it is the vertical application of artificial intelligence in industries or its use in cross-domain platforms, Hong Kong is an ideal platform to drive such development.
