The Legislative Council (LegCo) held the Chief Executive's Interactive Exchange Question and Answer Session (Q&A Session) this morning (June 13), with the themes of "developing new quality productive forces" and "promoting Chinese Culture and fostering culture and tourism integration" respectively.
Chief Executive John Lee said that this is the second time this year that he has conducted the Q&A Session in the LegCo, and he looked forward to interacting with Members and listening to their views on these two important topics.
"I hoped that through the Q&A Session, Members and I could stand in a higher position and interact with each other from the perspective of the overall situation of national development."
Lee said that integration with the country means better integration with the international community so that Hong Kong's characteristics and strengths can be more clearly demonstrated.
He opined that under "one country, two systems", more opportunities should be utilized for the public to understand the development of the country better.
"The two themes chosen this time are to explore the role and functions of Hong Kong in the overall situation, based on the overall layout of the country," he noted.
