US blacklists three more Chinese companies
The US government on Tuesday (June 11) added three Chinese companies to its entity list, alleging they used forced labor from Uyghur and other minorities from Xinjiang.
According to the US Department of Homeland Security, the three companies newly added to the list are Dongguan Oasis Shoes, Xinjiang Shenhuo Coal and Electricity, and Shandong Meijia Group.
"Allegations of forced labor in Xinjiang are malicious lies spread by anti-China forces and are tools used by American politicians to destabilize Xinjiang and hinder China's development," Liu Pengyu, spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in the US said.
