Digitalization can enhance efficiency for govt and enterprises: Sun Dong

Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry Sun Dong stated at the Hong Kong Digital Finance Awards 2024 today (June 11) that digitalization is an inevitable trend that can improve efficiency and competitiveness for the government, institutions, and enterprises.

He mentioned that the Digital Policy Office, which is data-driven, citizen-centric, and outcome-oriented, will soon be established.

"This office will lead various government departments and the industry in comprehensively implementing digital development," he added.

Sun also emphasized that the CorpID Platform will be launched from the end of 2026 onwards to reduce cumbersome procedures.

"With the joint efforts of the government and the industry, Hong Kong will achieve more groundbreaking results in digital transformation and financial innovation," he noted.
