An area of intense thundery showers now over the Pearl River Estuary is gradually moving eastwards. It will affect Hong Kong in the next couple of hours.
If it continues to edge closer to Hong Kong and maintains its intensity, Hong Kong Observatory may issue the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal in the next couple of hours.
The Observatory will closely monitor the development of the rain area. Members of the public should be on the alert and take note of the latest weather information.
