Watch This | Setting the record straight for national security legislation

Hong Kong's Safeguarding of National Security Ordinance was passed on March 19 and came into effect on March 23. This was a historic moment that Hong Kong has waited for for 26 years, 8 months and 19 days. The constitutional responsibility and historical mission of local legislation under Article 23 of the Basic Law has finally been accomplished, plugging the loopholes of national security in the city.

However, a group of Western media have been trying to smear the ordinance by all means, in an attempt to manipulate public opinion to further discredit Hong Kong.
