On the night of March 22, local time, the terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall in the suburbs of the Russian capital, Moscow, killed at least 143 people and injured more than a hundred, with the figure expected to grow further.

Simonyan, editor-in-chief of Russia Today (RT) media group, posted an interrogation video on social media on March 23, detailing the suspect's confessions in the terrorist strikes in Moscow's outskirts.

The terror suspect, Fariddun Shamsutdin, was born in 1998. He states in the video that he entered Russia via Turkey on March 4th. A month ago, the recruiter contacted him over the social media platform "Telegram" and presented him with weapons. Furthermore, the recruiter provided him with exact locations for a terrorist strike and instructed him to fire indiscriminately, "No difference, kill people without hesitation."

"I shot people in the concert hall for money," Faridin said. He added that the recruiter offered him about 500,000 rubles (approximately 40,000 RMB). Half of the money was deposited to his bank card, with the other half guaranteed to be transferred after completing the task. However, he threw away everything, including his bank card to avoid capture.

According to the text from RT, Faridin disclosed late in the trial that the recruiter had at one point offered to pay roughly 1 million rubles (about 80,000 RMB).

Simonyan also shared another footage of the interrogation. In the video, a Tajik-speaking guy, supported by an interpreter, reveals that he and a buddy had been living in a motel on a highway in the Moscow area for more than ten days and that "I haven't had a job in too long, and I wanted to work (to earn money)."
