
The Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Work Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, Xia Baolong, begins his visit in Hong Kong for inspection today (Feb. 22).
The Hong Kong Police Force said in a social media post that in order to ensure the smooth conduct of the visit, the Police Force has strengthened the deployment, including the Counter Terrorism Response Unit together with the Saber-toothed tiger armored vehicles at different locations to carry out irregular high-profile anti-terrorism patrols at any time on standby.
The SAR government said yesterday (Feb. 21) that Xia will visit HK for inspection from today to next Wednesday (Feb. 28), to gain a better understanding of Hong Kong's latest situations, including economic developments and district governance.
