FS, officials make year-end visits
Financial Secretary Paul Chan and five other principal officials on Friday met grassroots families in various districts to distribute Lunar New Year gift bags, bringing to a close a three-day year-end programme of care visits.
Chan visited an elderly person living alone, a disabled citizen and an elderly couple in Tak Tin Estate, Lam Tin, to deliver the Government's seasonal greetings, while Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Erick Tsang called on ethnic minority families living in Mei King Street in To Kwa Wan, and Ka Wai Chuen in Hung Hom.
Meanwhile, Secretary for Environment & Ecology Tse Chin-wan went to Tsui Ping (South) Estate in Kwun Tong to meet an elderly couple and elderly person living alone there.
Secretary for Housing Winnie Ho was in Tai Kok Tsui to meet elderly individuals living in subdivided flats.
At Shek Wai Kok Estate in Tsuen Wan, Secretary for Education Choi Yuk-lin met an ethnic minority family and elderly households.
For his part, Acting Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Joseph Chan headed to Tai Hing Estate in Tuen Mun to call on elderly residents there.
The series of year-end visits was co-ordinated by the Home Affairs Department.
