Connecting Dots | Appearance anxiety: Is it more about what's inside a person or outside?

You must have heard of the phrase "Never judge a book by its cover" or "Beauty is inside" before. But how many people are truly able to demonstrate nonchalance toward external judgment?

In this social media-dominated world today, looks are everything. This, however, results in the rise of appearance anxiety, a psychological phenomenon that troubles many young people today.

Individuals could experience appearance anxiety in the form of over-obsession with their physical appearance or being overly sensitive towards others' opinions of them. It impacts one's self-esteem and overall well-being, manifested in mental health problems in serious cases.

This time, we interviewed some foreigners to gain some insights on their opinions of the importance of physical appearance. How much can it affect individuals? Does it really matter? Is it possible to eliminate judgment? Watch the video to hear their answers!
