The Lunar New Year Fair, taking place for seven consecutive days starting today (Feb. 4), is being held at 15 locations across Hong Kong. At the Lunar New Year Market in Victoria Park, the morning rain has resulted in a moderate crowd turnout. Some citizens who attended the fair said they arrived early to avoid the crowds and purchased orchids and peach blossoms, expecting to spend thousands of dollars. Others said they would return later to buy Lunar New Year flowers, as many stalls had yet to open for business.

The owner of a flower stall at Victoria Park, who has been participating in the Lunar New Year Fair for over 30 years, noted that the crowd was relatively small in the morning, likely due to the weather. However, they anticipate an increase in visitors in the afternoon and evening.

All 15 Lunar New Year Markets have wet and dry goods stalls this year. Additionally, nine markets have fast food stalls, including Victoria Park in Causeway Bay, Fa Hui Park in Sham Shui Po, Cheung Shan Wan Playground, Wong Tai Sin Morse Park, Kwun Tong Playground, Yuen Long Tung Tau Industrial Area Playground, Tai Po Tin Hau Temple Fung Shui Square, Tuen Mun Tin Hau Temple Plaza, and Po Hong Park in Tseung Kwan O. The Victoria Park Lunar New Year Market is the most popular, with 377 stalls. It opens at 8 am daily from the 25th day of the Lunar New Year until the 1st day, with extended hours until 3 am on the 28th day and operating overnight on New Year's Eve until 7 am on the 1st day.
