The mega events attract several tourists coming to Hong Kong, which boosts the local accommodation and consumption economy, the Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Kevin Yeung, said at a media session this morning (Jan. 28).
"But more important is the mega events will bring a lot of related management, administration and organization to come, as well as help the promotion of HK as a major event capital, which I think will also be beneficial to HK in the long term," he added.
