Between February 9 and 13, the Shenzhen Bay Port (SBP) will operate 24 hours a day for both passengers and vehicles. The cross-boundary coach industry said today (24) that it would increase the frequency of buses to tie in with the overnight service at SBP.
A deputy manager of the Eternal East Cross-Border Coach Mgt. Ltd. said that the government has been in touch with the industry on the Lunar New Year traffic in the past two weeks, and the company will provide 24-hour service and increase the frequency of through-bus service to tie in with the overnight service of the Shenzhen Bay Port.
The frequency of cross-boundary bus service via Lok Ma Chau/Huanggang will be increased from 20 to 30 minutes to 5 to 10 minutes during peak hours, and for the Shenzhen Bay Port, apart from buses to and from Shenzhen, buses will also be arranged for other cities in the Greater Bay Area, according to the manager.
He also noted that there has been a shortage of drivers in the industry, but he has communicated with the drivers in the hope that overtime work can be arranged.
