Recently, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism promoted a batch of local specialties on social media, which left locals amazed and exclaiming. Let's take a look at some of the hidden treasures in Sichuan that even locals are unaware of!

Ya'an Fish Roe Sauce: Sichuan has the second largest caviar production in China, with 12 out of every 100 grams of caviar in the world coming from Ya'an.

Bazhong "Bird's Nest": Bazhong Tongjiang tremella fuciformis is known as the "commoner's bird's nest." In the Qing Dynasty, it was a tribute to the imperial court.

Liangshan Huidong Black Truffle: Huidong is the first place in China where truffles were discovered. There are more than ten types of truffles, with black truffles being the main type. It is also the largest truffle production area in the country.

Dazhou Kaijiang Crabs: It won the "Golden Crab Award" at the National River Crab Competition. The crabs are of high quality, given their large size, bright color, and delicious crab roe.

Yibin Jiang'an Eel: The eel farms in Jiang'an County raise and process 1,200 to 1,300 tons of live eels every year. 99% of the processed eel products are exported to countries such as Japan, Russia, and South Korea.

Ziyang Anyue Lemon: As one of the world's five major lemon production regions, Anyue County produces 600,000 tons of lemons every year, accounting for 70% of the country's production.

Besides the aforementioned specialties, Sichuan also has many other treasures, such as Hanyuan and Wenchuan Big Cherries and Guangyuan Olive Oil, etc., which are worth promoting.
