The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) yesterday (Jan. 10) urged the public to stop using a model of IKEA ÅSKSTORM 40W USB charger (model number: ICPSW5-40-1) and contact the product supplier, IKEA Hong Kong, for product return and refund.
According to the supplier, the damaged cable of the USB charger may lead to thermal burn and electric shock. The supplier has therefore decided to arrange a recall with a full refund of this product.
