Record high! 670,000 departures yesterday
Yesterday (Dec. 23), more than 1.06 million passenger trips were recorded at various control points, the first time since the resumption of cross-boundary travel that the number of passenger trips exceeded one million.
Among them, 670,000 departures were recorded, also the highest since the resumption.
The net outflow of Hong Kong residents exceeded 310,000 in a single day.
The weekend break and the Christmas public holiday provided opportunities for Hong Kong people to take a trip. Figures show that more than 570,000 people left Hong Kong for the Mainland through land crossings yesterday, of which 430,000 were Hong Kong residents.
