The Celebration Meeting of the 10th Anniversary of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macao Studies is held in Beijing today (Dec. 22). Xia Baolong, the Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, delivers a keynote speech. The Hong Kong government organizes a special branch in Hong Kong, inviting the new Chairmen of the District Council and all 470 incoming members of the 7th term District Councils to the Government Secretariat to watch the live broadcast of the main conference in Beijing.
The director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, Zheng Yanxiong, and other government officials arrived at the special branch.
