
Acting Chief Executive Chan Kwok-ki said at a press conference before attending the Executive Council meeting that the Community Living Room in Sham Shui Po could benefit 500 families and about 80,000 people, and the purpose of building that is to provide sub-divided unit households with additional living space in their respective communities.
Chan yesterday (Dec. 18) inspected the Sham Shui Po Community Living Room, and he said that the environment for students to do homework is light and spacious.
He also revealed that Sino Group has promised to set up the Community Living Room in To Kwa Wan and Hung Hom. He hoped that other enterprises could lend the space so as to build a Community Living Room in every district.
