BRI & HK | Incubating future talent: EdU's scholarship programs bear fruits in Central Asia

What can education bring? When education transcends national boundaries, what kind of sparks will it create with different cultures? Since the launch of the "Belt and Road" initiative, The Hong Kong University of Education (EdUHK) has been leveraging its strengths to develop educational cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road, and helping them improve their teaching capacities and scientific research standards.

Kazakhstan was one of the first countries to join the University's program, and a number of students have returned from Hong Kong to build their home country.

How does EdU cross borders to light up the eyes of eager students? In August this year, DotDotNews reporters followed a delegation of the university to Central Asia to see how it has sowed seeds of knowledge along the Silk Road.
