DC Election | Polling hours extended till midnight

Polling hours for the 2023 District Council Ordinary Election will be extended until midnight after a failure in the Electronic Poll Register system, the Electoral Affairs Commission said Sunday night.

The commission said in a statement that due to the failure of the Electronic Poll Register system, all polling stations had to switch to using the printed-form final register for the issuing ballot papers from 8:12 pm.

The District Council geographical constituency election was supposed to wrap up at 10:30 pm.
