The 2023 District Council Ordinary Election will be held on Dec. 10. At a press conference today (Dec. 5), the Chief Executive, John Lee, appealed to the Hong Kong public to vote in the District Council Election on Sunday (Dec. 10).
Lee noted that the District Councils are closely related to the people in Hong Kong, and every vote of the public to elect District Council members who are considered to be able to help the public.
Lee said that this Saturday (Dec. 9), the Government will organize the District Council Election Fun Day, which will include waterfront activities and free access to a number of LCSD exhibition galleries and venues. A large-scale outdoor concert will be held in the West Kowloon Cultural District in the evening, which will be broadcast live by seven media. Tickets to the venue of the Fun Day will be distributed to the public, details of which will be announced by the Government separately.
According to Lee, he would go to the polling station with his wife in the morning of Dec. 10 and encouraged the public to vote early on that day.
He pointed out that the polling station would remain in operation until 10:30 pm, and urged people to ask their family members, relatives, friends and colleagues to vote together.
