Citybus trapped in pothole caused by water pipe burst in Tung Tau Village, Wong Tai Sin
At around 5:30 a.m. today (Dec. 5), a water pipe burst on Tung Tau Village Road, Wong Tai Sin, causing water and mud to gush out of the road, resulting in a pothole in part of the road surface.
During the incident, a Citybus Route 106 was passing by. It was suspected that the driver turned the bus to avoid the flooding, but the right tail roll fell into a pothole and was trapped, so the police were called for assistance.
No one was injured in the incident. The police arrived at the scene and blocked off a section of the Road, while workers of the Water Supplies Department were repairing the burst water mains; the bus company will arrange for towing later.
