The Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL) will have a new Zhanjiang West Line from tomorrow (Oct. 11), which will pass through five new stations, including Jiangmen, Kaiping South, Yangjiang, Maoming and the terminus at Zhanjiang West.
According to the mainland railroad authorities, due to train scheduling arrangements, four HSR trains between HK's West Kowloon Station and the mainland will be canceled today and tomorrow (Oct. 10 and 11), MTR said. Other train services will remain normal.
Canceled trains on October 10th: G5616 (To Shenzhen North Railway Station), and G2963 (From Chengdu East Railway Station).
Canceled trains on October 11: G2964 (To Chengdu East Railway Station, tickets not yet available), and G5615 (From Shenzhen North Railway Station).
Ticket refunds can be made within 30 days. The MTR recommends using the official 12306 website or mobile apps as much as possible, rather than rushing to HK's West Kowloon Station to apply for refunds.
