The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) has recently updated the "School-based Assessment (SBA)" to include a new note on the use of AI by students, suggesting that if students have made reference to content generated by AI software, they should set out the critical points in the process of use.
On the use of AI, HKEAA said that it is an irregularity if a candidate submits to his/her own work done by another person, including those generated by AI software, whether in part or in whole; or copied part or all of the information directly from other sources such as books, the Internet, etc., without citing the place of origin.
